Our League Predictor | Rivals Round

It's Rivals Round, which means it's time to Go up against the Pros again! Have you picked your score predictions on the Our League Predictor Game?

Round 5 saw one of the highest numbers of Predictor players in the last four years, so don't miss out the chance to join in!

This week sees former Leeds Rhinos legend and current Sky Sports pundit Barrie McDermott give his predictions heading in this blockbuster round, where a feast of Rugby League awaits. And McDermott will know exactly what Rivals Round means, having played in many Leeds v Bradford derbies himself between 1995-2005!

Castleford Tigers v Leeds Rhinos

It's set to be a thriller as a winless Tigers take on their local rivals Leeds Rhinos at the Jungle on Thursday night.

With home advantage, the Tigers will look to record their first league win of the 2024 campaign. Craig Lingard's men have won their last two Super League matches against the Rhinos as the home team, but can they do this for a third time?

The Rhinos will look to bounce back following defeats to St Helens in both the league and cup, but will they overcome Castleford away?

Barrie McDermott's prediction: Leeds Rhinos

Our League member predictions: Tigers: 7%, Rhinos: 92%, Draw/Golden Point: 1%

Hull KR v Hull FC

There's another sell-out Hull derby to enjoy, as Hull KR host Hull FC on home soil. It'll be the 245th meeting between the two sides and it's a fixture where emotions and tensions are high.

It is no secret that Hull KR are in finer form than their inner-city rivals, as FC have only won one of their last 11 Super League matches.

But it has been proved that Hull FC can find a performance and find a way when the Rugby League world is least expecting it - we only have to look at last year's events...

The Black and Whites were nilled at home, before going on to beat the Robins at Craven Park in the reverse fixture. Nilled again at home in Round 1 this year, could a carbon copy be on the cards come Good Friday?

Barrie McDermott's prediction: Hull KR

Our League member predictions: Robins: 94%, Hull FC: 6%, Draw/Golden Point: 0%

St Helens v Wigan Warriors

The famous Good Friday derby makes it annual return, as former Champions St Helens host the current Champions Wigan Warriors in a mouth watering sell-out event.

Saints have won seven of their last eight Super League matches against Wigan Warriors as the home team - it's a reoccurring pattern that the winners of these matches tend to triumph on home soil. Could this determine some of your predictions?

These two Super League's heavyweights are eyeing up a season of utmost success, and it's the Warriors who remain unbeaten this season. Matt Peet's men are currently enjoying at 15 game winning streak in Super League and will look to continue this on Good Friday, whereas St Helens will be aiming to knock their fierce rivals from their perch and secure back-to-back league wins.

Barrie McDermott's prediction: Wigan Warriors

Our League member predictions: Saints: 41%, Warriors: 58%, Draw/Golden Point: 1%

Warrington Wolves v Catalans Dragons

Will Warrington keep a hold of top spot in Round 6? Sam Burgess' men are currently on a four game winning streak in the league, and will look to make it five from five when Catalans Dragons travel to town.

Both sides have won four out of five in 2024. For Catalans, this includes their 16-10 Round 1 victory over the Warrington in Perpignan - the Wolves' only defeat of the campaign to date.

With both teams in fine form and in search of the fancied two points, an intense and quality encounter should unfold and it could be too close to call.

Barrie McDermott's prediction: Warrington Wolves

Our League member predictions: Wolves: 56%, Dragons: 44%, Draw/Golden Point: 0%

Salford Red Devils v Leigh Leopards

Rivals Round continues into Saturday evening as Leigh Leopards will be aiming for back-to-back wins against Salford Red Devils in Super League. This would be for the first time ever in the history of the competition, following their 24-22 victory when they last met.

It was the Leopards who went away victors at the Salford Community Stadium last season, and 2023 saw a series of eye-catching encounters between the two sides, so we should expect a close contest in this year's Rivals Round.

Barrie McDermott's prediction: Salford Red Devils

Our League member predictions: Red Devils: 59%, Leopards: 40%, Draw/Golden Point: 1%

London Broncos v Huddersfield Giants

Round 6 will conclude with a clash in the capital between the Broncos and the Giants.

Huddersfield have won the last 15 meetings between the two sides and will hope to make it 16, whereas London will be desperately hoping they can kick-start their campaign on Sunday.

Barrie McDermott's prediction: Huddersfield Giants

Our League member predictions: Broncos: 5%, Giants: 95%, Draw/Golden Point: 0%
